Max style, revisited

With this portrait, there had to be a sense of energy and life. I used hot colors to try and create a self contained chaos, surrounded by an abyss of black. To add a little somethin' I added some green to highlight my hair, this wasn't originally my idea but after seeing how it looked after a while it really grew on me and it created a lot of interest. The image transfer is not perfect, so there is some streaks of white paper left although this is true I feel that it creates a rush effect adding more energy to the piece.

max style

Creating this work was fun, although I think I'm terrible at drawing people it wasn't too bad. Especially when you get to change them with patterns and bold colors. Much more abstract, which is what I like. Duc and Larissa were very good models. Originally Judy was in this picture too, but I unfortunately had to cut her out.
Probably my favorite project thus far.

Querky

For this assignment, I wanted to make the final product as fun and different as possible.
Using a play on the words cork and querky, relating a bottle opener to clothing.
All a little silly, a little odd. Like the color orange.
Looking back, I would have spent a little more time on the lines in this piece. They are a bit crooked at parts, but all in all s'alright.
